In celebration of the Vancouver Olympics, I wanted to create something that would be a memory of a very special occasion and also be a way to help amateur athletes who represent Canada. My Olympic Memories bracelet is created with the ideals and hopes and dreams of every athlete in mind. The center of the bracelet is created using 5 large River Stone beads.

River Stone is known for "it's mystical powers" which give the stone its "energy".

"Throughout history its white light was used to clear obstacles along life's path,..." and "...are often used for good fortune....".

I selected 5 large River Stone beads to represent the 5 olympic rings, which stand for the 5 continents. In between the large River Stone beads are Czech fire polished crystals in a bronzy colour. I chose this colour to use, as it reminded me of the mountains of British Columbia, where there is no snow. At either ends are small River Stone beads and an antiqued copper toggle clasp.
